I believe we are watching an epic period in world political history at present. The actions being taken, and the responses others make, will have consequences on a global scale and may take many years to recover from. Watching and listening to the “noise” occurring on a minute-by-minute basis is distracting, disturbing and disorientating. One must decide whether to ignore the activities of the attention seekers and preserve your mental equilibrium, or listen, and risk becoming desensitized to the dangerous messages they put forward. I’m unsure, as are many of us, whether a revolution (of some type) is coming, or if this process will just fizz out after the normal political cycle. My reaction to what is happening in the world is quite chaotic and I found it difficult to concentrate on a cohesive response. With this background, I started my Revolution piece.

In the end, I created a battlefield, had some guys who were black spots advancing on a group of guys on the other side, who were white spots; threw in a few lace flowers for each group to represent the heavy artillery and left the outcome to chance. We watch from afar, unable to control a world event, but perhaps able to influence, in a small way, our own reaction to the revolution.
