The first thing I think of when I think of transformation, is the butterfly.
The emergence of a butterfly involves several steps.
A butterfly reproduces by laying eggs.
Young caterpillars hatch from the eggs. They have to eat a lot and then tear out of their skin. This process is called pupation. On the outside, such a cocoon looks very boring, but inside a lot happens. All organs are replaced and wings grow. Finally, a butterfly crawls out of the pupa. The wings are still crumpled, so the butterfly looks for a quiet spot and hangs upside down. Slowly, blood pumps through the wings. Then the butterfly sets out to reproduce.
So the whole circle starts all over again.
The butterflies are having a hard time right now. Always disappearing with flowers, limiting their habitat.
I’m happy with every butterfly I see. The other day I came across this in our garden. This is the Polygonia, beautiful huh!
A beautiful photo of the Polygonia and your stury here, a beautiful reminder, Elfriede. It is magic…
Transformation. I can’t wit to see what you all do.
