Pockets of Time

When I updated my phone, my daughter pointed out I could track my online usage. Yes, she was pointing out to me I was procrastinating at getting my studio work done- on a really regular basis. After a few days, I realized how much I had made incessantly checking my phone a really bad habit. And I was looking for large chunks of studio time instead of little pockets of time to get work finished.
So away went my phone in the studio. ( I do know better). And through a series of little escapes in between some really large home projects and the holidays, I began cherishing these little pockets of peace and time.
I picked a palette.
I checked the values.
And played around awhile until I found a element or pod that represented my newfound love of a pocket of time.
The elements are moved around until I am pleased with my composition.
And then my piece is free motion quilted on my Bernina Q20 which I absolutely love. I was craving color in the greyness of my Michigan winter and our snowstorm. Pockets of Time is my reminder to use the time I have wisely. 🙂
