Blue is the emotion I was feeling when weeks passed by and the realisation set in “Early Morning Light” was not coming back

I chose subdued blue fabrics to emphasize how I felt

Have you ever misplaced something in your home?

A favourite gardening tool for example, or your special scissors, a pen you love to write with

You know you can buy a new one, but you hold off doing so, feeling sure you will find it.

You have looked everywhere, you really need those tree loppers.

As soon as you buy a new one, lo and behold, there’s one place that you didn’t look and those loppers were sitting there all along!

I Dare to Dream, by making another piece based on the Ogee shape, maybe just maybe, by some miracle or mystery, the first Ogee inspired piece will come back home to me

Dimension 40 “ x 28”

Materials: hand dyed background fabric, Indonesian batiks, Cotton backing and batting

Techniques: Machine quilted, Machine appliqué, Laser machine cut shapes, Hand stitching

  1. I had a small quilt go missing and it turned up about 10 months later. When it was taken down at an exhibition it got folded away with the cloths the quilts were hung on. It was found when they got them out for the next exhibition! So hopefully yours will find its way home.

  2. Oh Janine, I am so sorry you’ve lose something of such an irreplaceable nature. I have experienced the “replace-it-and-it-will-turn-up” phenomenon too. Inshallah this will happen in this case as well! xoxo
