When the desolate winter is over and the cherry blossoms bloom all at once in spring, it is our favorite cherry blossom viewing season.

Everyone gathers and throws a party under the flowers.

But what Japan people like more is when the petals start to fall.

The petals fall little by little, sometimes filling the flow of the river.

It’s a blissful time to see off the spring that is gone.

  1. Your colour use of pink and white for the blossoms and the way they flow in drifts underthe branches is beautiful Mikky. It makes me feel I could stand in a picture of Japan and see and smell the air and the blossoms.

  2. I love how all those tiny flower petals converge into a wide swath in the river. It must be a breathtaking sight in person!

  3. Your 3-dimensional rendering of the blossoms is lovely! I hope to see cherry blossoms one day.
