An observer of our blog decided to play along with us and has completed a small quilt about sound!  We are delighted to have others participate in our prompts.  The artist’s name is Denise Giardullo, and here is her piece and her artist statement about it:

“The prompt, “What Did You Say?” inspired me to depict the cacophony of sounds that one hears everywhere. “Music” plays in supermarkets, at sports events, in restaurants, in elevators. We are barraged with sounds from social media. It is often hard to hear oneself think. And, as I age, it is often all too much.”
