Visiting old Japanese castle is popular in Japan.
My husband and I went on a castle tour of castles building the Warring States Period
(15th Century to the end of the 16th Century).
Japan was not unified at that time and small kingdoms with castles fought each other.
The beautiful castles were situated on top of mountains and had practical shapes made for battle.
After that time the most of the castles were destroyed or disappeared by natural disaster.
A few of them have been restored to the original or remade from concrete for sightseeing.
We go to see the ruins of castles that have disappeared to see the beauty of stone walls that still remain after a long time.

I feel that some art work appears when we try to see what I can’t see.
Treasured vistas with memories of time looking into the past, and the chance to be inspired with artwork created on the land so many centuries ago. You have seen the possibilities for creative steps into your own castles or ruins in cloth art as your work develops.
