I’m writing a few lines today about our group Cloth in Common and our current theme, Lines. This theme is wide open and there are a gazillion ways we could interpret it.  I started by making a very long strip of bias binding so I could let it travel (as lines do).  I have yet to play with my long yellow line.

Having plenty of stripes and other lines in my fabric collection, I pulled some out and played a bit with them. 

Next I looked through some of the machine stitching exercises from a Paula Kovarik class.  Lots of line inspiration there! I’m still in the experimental stages but half of December is gone, so I need to get serious soon.

In November, we welcomed Albert Cote as our first gentleman member of Cloth in Common. I am excited (and delighted !!) to take this opportunity to introduce two additional new artists to our partnership. Be watching our website in January for their introductions of themselves and a peek at their work.  Our new artist friend Janine Ibbini lives in Abu Dhabi, UAE and joining us from south Australia is Bronwyn Cant. We are thrilled to have these three talented artists join us and look forward to working alongside them and getting to know them through their work.  All three new members will present their Line quilts along with us at reveal time at the end of January, 2023.

まだ実験段階ですが、12月も半分過ぎたのでそろそろ本格化しないと。

11 月には、Cloth in Common の最初のジェントルマン メンバーとして Albert Cote を迎えました。この機会に 2 人の新しいアーティストをパートナーシップに紹介できることを嬉しく思います (そして嬉しく思います!!)。 1 月に私たちのウェブサイトを見て、彼らの自己紹介と彼らの作品をのぞいてみましょう。私たちの新しいアーティストの友人である Janine Ibbini は UAE のアブダビに住んでおり、オーストラリア南部から Bronwyn Cant が参加しています。この 3 人の才能あるアーティストが参加してくれることを嬉しく思います。 3 人の新メンバー全員が、2023 年 1 月末の公開時に、私たちと一緒に Line キルトを発表します
