The theme, Winds of Change, inspired me to reflect on the recent massive changes in the United States and the world, and to compare them to a hurricane type storm. Experiencing the offensive actions of our executive commander and his crew feels like being bombarded with a steady stream of attacks which rock you like a strong, destructive wind. You feel the need to lean in against the assaults, and to keep pushing back against the aggression.

Persist is my rather mild expression of this feeling, and an attempt to find beauty in an ugly situation. Everything is being blown to smithereens, and she is doing her best to oppose the powerful forces and keep moving forward.

Karol, as I watched your dogged young lady named Persist, it occurred to me that she was well anchored against that hurricane, locked and protected within your personal embrace of morals, ideas and convictions.
Wow Karol! There is so much energy in this!
I can feel the push of the winds. Excellent!
