In 2014, I traveled to SAQA Japan Rep Jim Hay’s hometown in Michigan USA for the first time with my friend.
Everthing I saw was very exciting.
We got on the train from Mundelin to Cicago.
Through the train window, I could see a rich nature and at the same modern buildings.
We went through the lakes , swamps and wildness plains by rental car.
Jim drived from Grand Rapid to Traverse City.
Thank you Jim!
Sometimes, we could see squirrels and deers on the roadside.
The road in Micigan looked very straight and even endless.
I was suprised that there were so many Japanese cars.
And I thought American big trucks, school buses and huge tractors looked all cool!
The foods at the drive-in were also big.
I shared a dish with my friend.
We stayed at Jim’s two daugher’s houses.
They were very hospitable to us.
We sketched around their neighborhood.
And also visited many museums for studying Art.
Thank you Lee!
You remind me my wonderful trip to America.
I think the” ROAD ” connects not only place to place but also people and people.
