Dead trees in water are called snags (in North America). Ask a fisherman.

Caught in their reflection are words of wisdom. They sprang into my mind as I woke up one morning, having been thinking about a photo I’d taken of reflections in a broken car windshield. 

The photo itself, printed on cloth, forms the bodies of the dead trees.

Failure to heed such advice as “Forgive old mistakes,” “Heal old wounds,” and “Mend old sorrows,” can be a painful

 pitfall. A snag in the course of ones life.
