After a few false starts on this prompt, I always come back to spring in the deep green mountains, the Green Mountains of Vermont. With the grey and white back drop of months upon months of snow, the houses become lost and almost non descript amidst the greyness of mountains. White snow and drab houses which seem so mundane as if the owners don’t care about them.
As soon as the mountains begin to turn green, the bright and colorful rooflines and doors pop with the background of green trees. It is as if the houses are telling us they made it too through the long winter months. The colors are bolder and the spring meadow flowers begin to bloom.
I always feel the same way- I made it. Let spring begin and summer fall quickly after.
