More than three months of confusion, frustration and brainwork are coming to an end. This was hard for me, to articulate what I am feeling. Deep sadness clouded my vision, a vision that has become a fast-moving target as the daily deluge of bad news washes over this country.
And we still seem to not have hit rock bottom.

My thoughts are with the millions of fellow citizens who are going to be deeply impacted by this political chaos. How long will it take until the people realize that no one is safe unless we’re all safe. Our best hope is to look at history and take the principles of the founding of this nation to heart.

Don’t trust the loudest voice.
Make your best effort to find the truth.
I am looking to Liberty for the guiding light.

  1. Lisa, once again you’ve beautifully portrayed and written what is in our hearts and minds! Your quilting the words of the Constitution is a masterful stroke, and reminds us of what is at stake. Thank you for creating and sharing your art!

  2. Thank you, Lisa for you eloquent words and work. You made visible what so many of us are feeling – the fear, anguish and anger of my heart are portrayed in your image!

Tell us what you think.
