Well we are well through this round being nine of twelve, and I have based the whole round building a series of works with similar backgrounds and changing symbols. At this point I am wondering if I should continue or completely change what I am doing? Well as I thought about it, I decided I needed to continue in this vein and complete the series. Once I started putting it together I realised I had made the right decision!

You can see the change from the first round on the right with the pale greens to the deeper more saturated colours I’m using now.

I also choose the symbols relating to the prompt and in this case have a symbol indicating a change of mind. Do I continue the way I’m going or do I change? As you do, you question yourself and go backwards and forwards with your thinking until you settle on which way to go. Why are we so uncertain with our thinking as artists? Its always the challenge to be confident in our direction as we process our art and what we are trying to achieve, yet we continually change our minds throughout the process!
