Our world is broken and in dire need of repair.  We don’t always learn from past mistakes, and people continue to be hurt and killed.  Many seem to have lost touch with lessons taught in childhood about respect and consideration for others.  Or maybe they were never taught.  At any rate, this is what I am focused on as I contemplate ‘Restoration’ and build my quilt for that theme. 

On a much lighter note, I am very happy to introduce a new member to our group, which restores us to twelve members.  Meet Jacque Davis, of Vancouver, Washington!  Jacque and I met years ago at a retreat in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  We spent many mornings walking the beach there at sunrise.  Great conversations and adventures were had while most of the other retreaters were still sleeping!
