Almost every time we get a new prompt, I have an immediate reaction to it. It is usually a form of word association. This is how it happened this time. I google Cloth in Common on my phone. I find out that Martha Ressler has given us the prompt
DNA
DNA I have always been fascinated by the ongoing discussion of nature vs nurture. Basically the question is—are our identities formed by our genetics or by the circumstances of our lives? Over time, scientists have concluded that BOTH genetics and circumstances shape us. Still, which is the stronger component?
Use Your Words
Dis-unity was a difficult prompt for me to get my head around. I have written more about that on my personal blog. I originally wanted to create a flag quilt because I thought it might be fun to revisit that idea and make another pieced US flag, but the

When I got the most recent prompt for Cloth in Common, I wasn’t quite sure what to do. I had already created three Color Grid quilts about night. Night Solstice Winter Trance Finally, I decided a chair quilt was in order. What would
