Our general theme for all of the upcoming prompts for the next two years – Round Two – is COMMUNITY. 

One of the definitions of ‘community’ that I found was: society – a group of people who have interests in common.

We members of Cloth in Common are a community, a society!  YOU, as one of our blog followers, are part of our community.  We invite you to participate along with us any time you’d like to interpret one of our prompts!!  Please email photos of your resulting quilt to me:  karol@kquilt.com and I’ll share it with the group. 

Further investigation into the meaning of community led me to the term: IDENTITY.  I decided that this would make an interesting prompt to start off with!

What specific type of person are you?  Who do you identify with? 

What makes you unique?  What makes us the same? 

What kinds of ties do you have with others? How would you like to be remembered?

Over the next eight, nearly nine weeks, think about your identity – your association with others like you, or unlike you!  Prompt #2-1  Identity.
