Cloth in Common is starting our fourth Round of artwork after nearly six years in existence.  We must say a fond goodbye to three members: Regina Marzlin, Deb Cashatt, , and Susan Lapham.  We appreciate all of your contributions to the group! Regina has been with us since day one, and we thank Deb for creating and managing our website and blog.  Happily, we also welcome a brand new member: Lisa Jenni, from Washington, USA.  Lisa has been an avid follower of Cloth in Common, and inquired at the right time about joining us.

We have discussed and voted on a new overall theme for the next two years.  A little history: Round one was Unusual prompts, in Round two we made work about Community.  For Round three we considered Structures, and now, in Round four, we’ve decided on the theme of Change. It will be interesting to see what emerges with this theme. 

I will start us off with the specific prompt of Change of Pace.
Consider the possibilities: 

An interruption of your usual daily routine. 

A change of tempo, a shift in your regular pattern of activity.

A departure from the norm. 

Some variety to spice up your life. 

We have June and July to create a quilt inspired by a change of pace.  I will have no problem coming up with an idea – lots of changes in my life recently.  Between school, and renovations in my studio, health changes, and becoming an empty nester again, I have plenty of considerations to work with.
