Two Women on the Shore – Edvard Munch 1898

Our overall theme is Create, Inspire, Connect for round 5.

For our October/ November Quilt challenge I want to drill down on “Connect.”  Let’s think about what doesn’t connect.

This could be physical or metaphorical.  What is the space in between?  What doesn’t connect?

I recently travelled across the country.  Spaces between houses got further and further apart.  Until in the high desert, we didn’t see habitation at all.

I myself have lived in an apartment building, in a row house in a city, in a house in the suburbs, and now, a house in the country.  I am very aware of the differences – living in densely populated areas and sparsely populated ones.

What about composition?  What about the importance of negative space in composition?

How about the space between people?

What images and ideas can you come up with : things that are in between.

今回の「ラウンド5」の全体テーマは、「Create(創造)、Inspire(インスピレーション)、Connect(つながり)」です。

Tell us what you think.
