The theme of this exhibition is “Story.”

Each of us carries many stories within our hearts—joyful memories we have shared with others, painful experiences we have finally overcome, stories of family and parenthood, and moments from our past. These are the stories we wish to share.

Would you express your story through a quilt and share it with us?

As for me, I would like to tell the story of “Jim Hay”, an American quilter who lives in Japan and was also my teacher. He was the reason I joined SAQA and CIC.

Although he has lived in Japan for many years, about ten years ago he took a friend of mine and me to his hometown in Michigan. I would like to share the memories of that special time with you through my quilt.
