There are several sets of twins in my family. My oldest brother has twin grandsons, my second oldest brother has twin great grandsons and I have twin granddaughters. I have three cousins who also have twins. I have done many art pieces with twins as my subject. Lately I have been busy getting pieces for three upcoming shows. ( none of them involve twins). Also I have been cleaning my studio which always produces more work than I think. Plus this is when I find things that I have forgotten that I had, and this usually means unfinished pieces. I am a great dreamer at night. My dreams seem so vivid and colourful, but do not really make any sense. I have had a terrible time losing things this month. My phone ( many times) , my car keys, scissors, and one very special wooden box that contained photos of my Father and Mother. The box has been in the same drawer for years and I expected it to still be there. It also contained stories written by my son when he was in grade two which I wanted to use for this prompt. The box was painted bright colours and had a blue cloth circle where the clasp was. For the life of me I could not find it. Two nights in a row I dreamt that my granddaughters found the box but would not tell me where it was until I told a story that their Father had written. As I said , I have been losing things lately and I think it includes my memory. Racking my brain I finally remembered one short one. It goes like this……”While walking down the street one day, my head fell off and rolled away. I picked it up and put it on, and when I looked my nose was gone”
I am sure my son would not be impressed that this is the one story I managed to remember. The twins will think it is “ typical Dad
In my dream the twins are hiding in the box like in a womb!
