Come to think of it, kitchen is home base for me too, second only to my studio.
My aged and infirm mother-in-law lives with us, and I must cook every meal at home for her and us. (Hubby cooks breakfast, so I get a break there.)
My earliest memories, aside from my crib, were in the kitchen, where my Mom set up a play station. I could open a bottom cupboard, take out an empty milk bottle, and drop clothes pins in. I got pretty good at it!
The reference picture I chose for my quilt, however, is a different one. It was taken before I was 2 years old. I know that because we only lived in that house until I was two.
It is likely that my artistic photographer of a mother added some extra chocolate to my face, for effect. Of course it is equally likely that I did it myself, in sampling my batter.
I used a photo of my mom as a young woman in the background, grafted onto a commercial fabric 1950’s woman.
The escaping cat represents Butterscotch, our only, and failed, attempt to keep a cat in the house when I was a child. We were told he “ran away” after he got fleas and went to sleep in the clean laundry basket.
Aside from poor Butterscotch, all my childhood memories are good ones!

생각 해보니 부엌은 내 스튜디오에도 2 위를 차지하는 저를위한 본거지입니다.
법에 제 노인과 허약 한 어머니가 우리와 함께 살고, 나는 그녀와 우리를 위해 모든 식사를 집에서해야합니다. (Hubby가 아침을 요리하기 때문에 거기서 휴식을 취합니다.)
나의 가장 어린 시절의 추억은 내 침대를 제외하고 부엌에 있었는데 엄마가 놀이터를 설치했다. 나는 바닥 찬장을 열고 빈 우유 병을 꺼내서 옷핀을 안으로 넣을 수있었습니다.
그러나 내가 퀼트로 선택한 참조 그림은 다른 그림입니다. 내가 2 살이되기 전에 찍혔습니다. 우리가 두 살 때까지만 그 집에 살았 기 때문에 나는 그것을 안다.
어머니의 저의 예술 사진가가 효과를 내기 위해 내 얼굴에 초콜릿을 조금 추가 한 것 같습니다. 물론 내 케이크를 샘플링 할 때도 내가 그랬을 가능성이 똑같다.
저는 1950 년대의 상업적 직물에 접목 된 배경에서 엄마의 사진을 사용했습니다.
도망가는 고양이 Butterscotch, 우리의 유일한, 그리고 실패했을 때, 내가 어렸을 때 집안에 고양이를 유지하려고 시도합니다. 우리는 그가 벼룩을 가지고 깨끗한 세탁 바구니에서 잠을 자고 난 후에 그가 도망 간다고 들었다.
가난한 버터 스카치를 제외하고, 어린 시절의 추억은 모두 좋은 것입니다!

私の母親がプレイステーションを設置したキッチンに、私のベビーベッドのほかに私の最初の思い出がありました。私は底の食器棚を開き、空の牛乳瓶を取り出して衣類のピンを落とすことができました。
しかし、私のキルトのために選んだリファレンスピクチャは、別のものです。私が2歳になる前に撮影されました。私が知っているのは、私が2歳になるまで私たちはその家に住んでいただけだからです。
母親の私の芸術家の写真家が、エフェクトのために私の顔に余分なチョコレートを加えた可能性があります。もちろん、私のケーキをサンプリングする際に、私はそれを自分でやったことも同じです。
私は母親の写真をバックグラウンドで使って、1950年代の商業服にグラフトした。
逃げる猫は私たちの唯一のButterscotchを代表しており、私が子供の頃に家に猫を置こうとしても失敗しました。私たちは彼がノミを取得し、清潔な洗濯バスケットで眠りについた後に彼が “逃げた”と言われました。
