We have experienced many compromise. But the compromise would not have always been satisfactory. Because there may be some difference, but it cannot be achieved without concessions on both sides.
The compromise may be right, but it may be wrong.
There are numerous O(right) and X(wrong) in the mass of “Compromise”, and I think they are connected like on organism.
I composed this work based on this idea.
This work was created by painted the opposite symbols of O and X directly on the fabric, and then randomly cutting the fabric.

Your technique of cutting and reassembling results in such a beautiful and delicate image. Perhaps a metaphor for the possibility of finding common ground despite deep disagreement.
Yes, that’s what I want to express in my work.
So effective! I like your acknowledgment that compromise also means giving something up, and it can be challenging. It’s a beautiful quilt!
Thank you so much!
This must have been fun to paint!!! Beautiful work.
Yes, painting is so fun.
Eunhee, your work brings forward such an important message for me. The differences between commitment, compromise, and understanding are well defined in this ‘random cutting’. With is art, I contemplate all the work that needs to be done to make our world a better place – how can we all come together?
It is very difficult. I hope we all come together.
Quite thought provoking. Beautiful.
