TRANSFORMATION

Every year the same thing….. Spring..then Summer..then Fall, and finally Winter!

The transformation from Winter to Spring I love. All the dirty snow on the sides of the roads starts to melt and glimpses of grass start to appear here and there. People start to change how they dress. No more winter boots or heavy knitted sweaters. Planning for Spring Break and how to plant their gardens is high on their agendas!

The same birds seem to return to my yard and build their nests on the same post on the Pergola. (they can’t really be the same birds). I enjoy them all Spring and Summer…until the Fall starts to creep in. THEN, before you know it…WINTER!

The transformation is brutal to me! My bones start to ache and the house always feels cold. Imagine how the tiny birds must feel!

I have create this piece depicting the birds actually enjoying the cold and the first flakes of snow. I even gave them “sweaters”!

  1. Love the sweaters – and the snowflakes!! We in Florida don’t get much of a seasonal transformation, but after about 7 or 8 months of summer, we do look forward to cooler temperatures. Thanks for the winter scene!
