The planet on which we live is going through a major change. More and more often we see large forest fires, countless floods, heavy rain showers and even tsunamis.

The cause is global warming.

Due to the melting of the ice caps around the world, sea levels are rising. The result is that small island groups disappear and more and more land disappears below sea level.  The temperature of the water rises.

As a result , vulnerable plants and animal species no longer have a right to exist. Only the strongest species survive. We must ensure that the oceans do not become

“EMPTY “.

Marine reserves is the solution here. Here, life is left completely alone. No oil drilling, fishing or sand extraction is allowed. In this way, the ecosystem can recover. Life around such a reserve also improves. Fish grow larger and lay more eggs. Plants and food are increasing, which has a positive effect on the deteriorating conditions due to climate change. 40% of the oceans should be declared marine reserves, according to Greenpeace. We are still a long way from that!

We must all work together and take care of our earth.  Our children and grandchildren have the right to a liveable world and a balanced underwater world.
