When the Lost World was announced as a prompt I was a bit concerned. The first thing I usually do when a prompt is announced is google it. All I really came up with was the Jurassic Park sequel which is not quite what I was after

Mikki who suggested this prompt is in Japan so then I thought of the amazing work of Ghibli whose museum I went to on my last trip. Unfortunately you were not allowed to take photos inside of this incredible place but his animations are world famous and I thought that maybe this would be an inspiration. Here is a link to a video if you are not familiar with his animation work

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a book called the Lost World set in the Amazon Rainforest which appears to be an exciting adventure complete with unrequited love, dinosaurs and diamonds.

But I think I will continue this Round of Cloth in Common with the overall theme of Structures with my passion for Antoni Gaudi and his architecture. There are many aspects of his work which seem to relate to a world that lived only in his mind so I will try and find his Lost World

  1. Lisa, like you, we look, study and wonder… as explorers. We see into our world as we search and perhaps find the inspiration to celebrate this prompt. Mikki, I’ve been walking the deep woods, seeking my story.

Tell us what you think.
