When I was a kid, I loved my aunt’s seaside house. It was beautiful, but now is abandoned, destroyed and forgotten. The people who lived there are gone. It only exists in old photos and my memories. Only the persimmon trees are still there.

More recently I have the opportunity to travel to various places. One such place is the sprawling ruins of a bankrupt amusement park in the Philippines. Another is the magnificent ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Many structures are stored in my memory and images come to me when I see something old.

“Howl’s Moving Castle” by Ghibli Japanese Animation Company.

“Old” is the theme of this story. It involves a structure made from scrap materials to become a magic castle that moves around.

The next prompt will be your “Lost world” and may exist only in your imagination.
