On Track

3-11 Martha Ressler

I had material left over from what I had designed for the “Lines” prompt. With that and some ideas also carried over I added a pattern that always grabs my attention in my frequent commute.  It’s my favorite railroad sign.

I borrowed it, dissected it, and used it for my pattern in this piece.  Now I have two quilts that could be used as a diptych. Doing the happy dance!

  1. Fantastic – I love the “combination” and exciting pairing for two CIC pieces now… you always amaze and delight – this one is awesome.

  2. Thank you Deb. I’m trying to think of my Cloth in Common work as a whole. Working towards some future show of them all together. (What sign on my quilt?)

  3. Great use of the “extra parts!” (By the way, I’m planning something similar for connections.) I love the sign and your quilt.

Tell us what you think.
