Once in an evening, just after the end of this day in December 2023 took its last hour to share the beauty and strength of the power and yet the mystery of what lies ahead…. we seek the hope and sharing of even a possible opportunity to look beyond, and bring us solace and confidence in what will follow tomorrow.

Will there be another change in the season we live this next day? Is there calm, and the warmth and beauty of spring where you live, or the heat and swelling, uncomfortable waves of what is hard to look forward to in summer? For me, the changes in season are most enjoyed when the leaves are opening and colour is all around, filling our lives with the joys of nature and the arrival of the awakening flowers and return of the birds, fish, and animals. But here we are in my area, with snow just starting to fall after this beautiful sunset day above.

Soon snow will cover the ground and we will expect high winds or cold and dismal rain days. In the deep water areas along Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, and on to connections to the St. Lawrence River and a path toward the Atlantic Ocean our seasons change and our world rests.

WINTERGRASSES… as seen on Pinterest with an unknown but amazing artist’s work… Inspiration reigns….

As the month flies by, and the timing for our next reveal comes closer, I am working on my own ‘change in seasons’ art quilt for our January reveal. More importantly, I look for time for my studies of the work of artists from all around the world, often likened to the soft and beautiful forest leaves and stitching seen above. I am so entranced with the art of some artists I know well, and others I have only seen along the way. There is nothing like the time we can take in these quiet months to step into the masses of stunning art to see and celebrate… take time. It counts…

Can’t wait to see the reveal of each of my twelve friends in the CIC family as the days pass and the seasons change around our various parts of the world. Wishing you all Happy Holidays and time to relax, explore, and enjoy the possibilities for your ART!!
