I find it interesting that some pieces just come together so effortlessly

And others sit procrastinating on the table!!

I suppose one is the creative flow, and the other isn’t

This piece, even though it looks quite straightforward, was such an effort to pull together

Most likely because we had many projects in and around the home happening at the same time. My attention needed to be in many places

A new garden, with new paving and seating areas.

At the same time, I took delivery of some new furniture for my sewing studio, which led to lots of re-organisation and shifting around

Everything began around the same time and now all the projects are complete, including this art quilt.

This piece makes me smile and reminds me of early morning walks watching the sunrise.

  1. Janine, it’s a lovely piece featuring yellow dandelions. I can relate to how some things suddenly come together effortlessly when inspiration finally strikes after a delay, while at other times they truly require hard work.

  2. This is lovely! The colors are wonderful and I’m intrigued by the yellow flowers, dandelions? I am wondering how you made them and how you managed to stitch it all down with such a beautiful fringe on all sides. I recognize some of your fabrics from my own stash, and have to laugh. I bet we could identify people who have lived in Abu Dhabi or Dubai just from the quilts they’ve made, fabric wise. Congratulations on accomplishing all of these disparate project goals within such a tight timeframe. I hope you can now relax and enjoy the fruits of all these labors. Please post pictures of your finished garden on CQ WA!
