Today is not my day,
Today I don’t feel well,
It’s Monday and I have no energy,
today is not my day.
Why is that?
Today I don’t feel well,
I can’t keep my back upright
and always have to look down.
I would like to be as strong as my twin brother
and completely as strong as my big brothers.
Today I don’t feel well,
tomorrow will be another day
and then it might go better.
I keep courage and believe in a better tomorrow.
Today I don’t feel well,
Today is not my day

I just want to give that little guy at the end on the left a great big hug, and tell him/her that there is still hope for every tomorrow. Beautifully illustrated point Elfriede.
I can commiserate on days like this, the betrayal of aging bodies. Sigh. Days of pain interspersed with those that come with that old familiar bounce in one’s step. The promise that tomorrow will bring better is a closely held one. Here’s to hoping your amazing days afar outnumber the other kind! A brilliant rendering of the theme.
Thanks for setting this up as a reminder of LIFE as it comes in the door every day. Don’t despair, there will be a better day, maybe tomorrow.
As I always tell my children, “Tomorrow will be better!”
It’s very humorous and cute.
