The prompt “Neighborhood” brought to mind my own neighborhood, nearby in the small town of Hamburg PA, and also made me think that my travels have made the world my neighborhood. I wanted to combine those ideas. The heartbeat of Hamburg is its theater.  Not many towns of this size (4000) have been able to maintain a theater, especially since the studios required digital projection equipment. It took a community effort to raise the money, and continues to demand fundraising for the upkeep of the theater. When I found this dreamy, sketchy material, I thought I had my answer of how to include the rest of the world. Maybe the buildings are clouds?  Or dreams? Or memories? You decide.
